Fort Widley - Equestrian Centre

Established for over 20 years as the Peter Ashley Activity Centres, Fort Widley Equestrian Centre is an ABRS/BHS approved riding, training and exam centre. Situated on the top of Portsdown hill overlooking Portsmouth Harbour and only a short drive from junction 12 from the M27 the centre boats excellent facilities.

The Fort Widley Equestrian Centre has a wide selection of horses and ponies that range in size & ability ensuring that riders of all abilities can be accommodated. Only BHS qualified instructors are permitted to take riding lessons, ensuring that every riding lesson is a safe & pleasurable experience. We have a purpose built indoor riding school with viewing gallery that was opened in 1995 by HRH Princess Ann. This ensures a great riding experience whatever the weather and adjacent to the indoor school is a large floodlit ménage.

Learn to ride in a safe, friendly atmosphere with instruction by BHS qualified staff. Group and private tuition available or long hour hacks in the surrounding countryside.

Facilities include:

Outdoor manege
Indoor school
Fully floodlight with viewing gallery
Thriving saddle club for youngsters
